Calia has just found out that her entire college fund has been drained and she’s furious. She knows exactly who has done it… Her mother. This same mother that all of her friends think is dead. So during summer break with no where else to go and no money she goes back to her hometown to confront her mother.
When she arrives at Monas, the bar that her mother owns she doesn’t find her mother but finds HOT brigade nominee, Jax, working the bar.
She quickly learns that her mom has skipped town and that some pretty bad men and are looking for her. Jax is worried about her safety so he refuses to let her stay by herself at her moms house. and for good reason since her life is being threatened by druggies and dealers.
She gets a job as a bartender at the bar to make ends meet until she can locate her mother. But she has a bad feeling that the money that her mother took is already gone.
She is still confused by Jax’s apparent attraction to her. She is physically and emotionally damaged. With burn scars covering half of her face and down her body, she doesn’t think any man would ever find her attractive.
But Jax does…the way he looks at her it’s as if the scars were invisible. He makes her feel things that she’s never felt before.
With Jax and her friends by her side she fights to stop the men that are threatening her life and seeks to find her mother to end this once and for all.
